Common questions
What counts as a "user" on the Team plan?
Each registered SecureCrypt account with its own encryption keypair counts as one user. Seats are managed by the account admin and can be added or removed each billing cycle.
Can I mix Free and Team users in the same organisation?
Yes. Free users can share files with Team users and vice versa - the blockchain records all cross-tier share events. Team-specific features (shared audit dashboard, admin management) are only available to Team seats.
What happens to my files if I cancel?
Your vault and all encrypted files remain intact. You revert to the Free tier storage limit (1 GB). Files above that limit remain in cloud storage until you delete them - we do not automatically purge data.
Is there an annual discount?
Annual pricing is on the roadmap. Contact us if you'd like to discuss it for Professional or Team.
Does SecureCrypt charge for storage?
We charge for security capabilities - encryption, sharing, audit trails, cloud sync. Storage is included with each tier, not sold separately. We are not trying to be your cloud drive; we are the security layer that makes your files provably safe.
Why is the Free plan limited to 2 active shares?
Each active share is an on-chain record that we maintain and serve. The 2-share limit keeps the Free tier sustainable while still letting you try secure sharing end-to-end. Expired or revoked shares free up slots automatically - so if you set expiry dates, you can keep re-sharing. Upgrade to Professional or Team for unlimited simultaneous shares.
Can I export my audit trail on the Free plan?
You can view your full blockchain audit trail in-app on every plan, including Free. Exporting to PDF, CSV, or JSON - for legal submissions, compliance audits, or independent verification - requires a Professional or Team plan.
