Settings
The Settings screen lets you view your account information, manage your encryption keys, control where encrypted files are stored, and log out.
Profile
Shows your email address and the storage bucket prefix derived from your account. These are read-only.
Plan
A summary of your current subscription tier and storage usage, with a quick link to the Plan screen to upgrade or manage billing.
Encryption keys
Your RSA public key is displayed here in full. You can click Copy Public Key to copy it to your clipboard. Your public key is what other SecureCrypt users (and the blockchain) use to verify your identity and encrypt files for you to receive.
Your private key is stored securely inside your encrypted vault and never leaves your device.
Encrypted files location
Controls where .scv files are saved on this device.
- Default location - inside the app data folder. Files here are deleted when you log out.
- Custom location - a folder you choose. Files here are preserved when you log out, even after local data is cleared.
Click Set Custom Location (or Change Location if one is already set) to pick a folder. Click Reset to Default to go back to the app data folder.
Auto-lock
SecureCrypt locks your vault automatically when the app is idle. The default timeout is 5 minutes. You can change this in Settings to any value between 1 and 60 minutes.
To lock immediately without waiting for the timeout, click Lock Now. This closes your vault and returns you to the login screen. Your cloud backup and files are unaffected.
About
Shows the app version, the native crypto engine version, and a summary of the security features in use.
Logging out
Click Logout & Clear Local Data to sign out and remove all local data from this device.
- Upload them to the cloud before logging out.
- Move them to a custom location so they are preserved after logout.
- Proceed and accept that they will be deleted.
When you confirm logout, the vault is synced to the cloud one final time, then all local data is cleared. Your cloud backup is not affected. You can restore everything on this device (or any other) by logging in again with the same email and password.
